Oh, I"m so glad you liked it!! I've never written Jon or Dany before, so I was a bit nervous about it. But I DO like the pairing, and I DO want them to team up and fight the White Walkers, so it was a cool challenge to write a fic about that.
I love the idea of Dany flying to Westeros and landing in the North- basically trading one barren wasteland (the Dothraki Sea) for another. And having lived all of her life in a warm climate, snow would be really jarring to her (and the Dothraki, of course).
I'm glad you dug the Sansa-inclusion. Even though Jon and Sansa weren't the closest as children, their family bond is still stronger than anything Dany would have at this point- or possibly ever.
Thank you so much for the wonderful comments- I breathed a huge sigh of relief and smiled a goofy smile when I read them. :)
I love your portrayal of Dany here, and the writing is very evocative. I love the way you used Sansa too, and her relationship with Jon, and how Dany views it - and how she compares it to hers with Viserys.
Oh, wow, this is just brilliant. I love the way you've knitted the North back together - I love the alliance between Sansa and Daenerys, and the way Jon and Daenerys draw cautiously closer, and wow, the ending is just amazing.
I love your portrayal of Dany and Jon (and you managed to incorporate our bb Sansa so perfectly, yay!!), I think this may be the first fic I've seen of yours for the two of them and my goodness is it PERFECT IN EVERY POSSIBLE WAY.
gaah Jon and his reserved self and how he manages to get closer to her through Ghost (and how she KNOWS it's him), and Dany and her stubborness and her qualms about the things she's had to do (bringing up Longclaw and the Mormonts was a lovely touch), and SANSAA AND JON BEING ALL CLOSE AND IT MAKING DANY FEEL WEIRD FOR REASONS SHE CAN'T QUITE NAME <333
I actually never written anything from either Jon or Dany's perspectives, so I definitely took a leap out of my all-Lannisters-all-the-time-and-maybe-some-Sansa-too comfort-zone.
(but of course I had to put a bit of Sansa in here because YOU KNOW HOW IT IS)
I have a weird fondness for this ship; I think that Jon and Dany are on very parallel paths, and their differences could actually complement each other really well.
