Canon schmanon -- I loved this, even though it was heartbreaking.

Thanks! I try not to write heartbreaking too often, but sometimes it comes out...

A beautiful piece of writing! I am so blown away with awe by the way you wrote this that sadness about the deaths hasn't even sunk in yet.

Wow. Gorgeous!
I've always been intrigued by the pairs of Weasley twins: Fred and George, Fabian and Gideon. I have never read a fic that has gone in this direction before. And poor Arthur. I think Fabian was playing him, and Arthur was infatuated as only a teen can be. It's just too bad that Fabian died before Arthur could see him as he really was. Instead, he is left with a fixed, untarnished image that will hurt and haunt far worse than if he'd had another few weeks to see that Fabian would never have come out for Arthur. poor man.
"She wants to do things." So sad! Puts a whole new twist on the Weasleys having seven kids, and why Arthur might work such long days.

And that last paragraph!! Charlie looks like Fabian! Guh!
In your mind, does that lead to Weasleycest?? Well, what doesn't, with you, but do you think it does here?

I'm still not getting LJ notification that I made a comment here, and ads are popping up incorrectly and taking over/erasing the page and link, making me lose your LJ page. GRRRRRR. Let me know later if you responded to this.
Is this ad thing happening to you? I can't even hit the back button. The friggin' ad erases everything. Very grrrrr.

In your mind, does that lead to Weasleycest?? Well, what doesn't, with you See here, Missy... *taps foot*

*blushes*

Oh, yeah, I guess you're right.

Actually, as I was writing this I was very protective of Arthur as the husband and father. In my mind, he wouldn't ever touch Charlie (at least not in this 'verse).

But I do think having Charlie look so much like Fabian has to be very hard on Arthur. I can almost feel his heart stuttering every time Charlie smiles at him.

LJ notifications have been crap for a couple of days. I've been getting Best Buy ads popping up that won't let me get rid of them until they are fully started - Grrrrrrr!

heh.

might have crossed my mind too. *blushes*

but I agree it doesn't fit with this story. It's just heartbreaking to see that smile again, I think. :D

This is lovely. I love it when fics weave a new way through canon - that's what fanfic can do that original fiction can't - and this is a perfect example. I often wondered why Molly didn't name any of her children after her dead brothers, yet gave her twins the same initials. Your story works so well, fits in so well and adds an extra layer of tragedy to canon.

I'm glad you decided to have a go at these two. This is beautifully written, emotionally realistic and intelligent.

Thank you so much, hun!
Great compliment coming from the writer I think of as The Queen of Weaving a Story into Canon. *nods*

It's nice to think of what depth some of the HP characters have below the surface.

screw timelines, this was wonderful! i've always thought of arthur as being a bit bent, so i quite agree with this version of things.

Thanks, hun! I like to think there's something deeper to Arthur than just the mild mannered man who is a bit whipped by his wife.
