i know i haven't updated in quite a while, but i have good reasons for it:

#1 we were house hunting

#2 i started work as an accountant on wednesday

#3 we've been cleaning out all the clutter from the house

#4 we bought a house!

#5 we've been packing like mad because we move in 2.5 weeks. yikes!

thanks! i'm so beyond excited about this too :D
it's in dartmouth, on the south side of banook. it's very neighbourhoody there, and also kind of yuppie. we'll be the youngest couple in the area, i'm sure. here are some photos that we took the day of the inspection. it's far nicer than what we ever expected to find for ourselves. you'll have to visit once we get settled in!

it's very nice and clean! it was by far the best place we looked at, and it's practically in move-in condition. it needs only a bit of work to start (most walls are white - blah!) but we have plans of putting up a fence, remodeling the kitchen one day, and building a nice laundry room in the basement. we are so happy with it..yay!

we are going to put off getting a puppy right away, though. we need to build the fence first, and see how our work schedules are looking. if i continue in accounting for a while, then we'll be able to look for a puppy sooner rather than later.

Oh my gosh, you got it!! Congratulations!! I can't wait to hear more... and hopefully see pics?? :) (Congrats on the job too! You give me lots of hope about getting a job and house at the same time without going too crazy.)

It's look awesome! The little mud room near the entrance, your soon-to-be sewing room and the cute kitchen! I am going to send you some scans from some of my Zakka books. There are some cute sewing projects for cafe curtains and little kitchen things. I'm so happy for you! When do you guys close and move in?

thanks! that little mud room is awesome, my sewing room is south-west facing, so it's extra sunny and bright in there, and the kitchen is pretty cute, but we have plans to do some remodeling in a couple of years, to make room for a dishwasher (i am so ready for a dishwasher after washing them by hand for the past 10 years...) but those scans will give me so much inspiration in the meantime! thanks! i'm thinking of painting it a nice orange (if i can find the right shade...)
we close the 26th of may, and we move in the next day! we've managed to gather about 10 strong guys, and 3 cube vans (all courteousy of the production i'm currently working on!) to help us lug everything, so hopefully it will only take a few painless hours.
i'm so excited, i can't wait!
