the other night we watched calamity jame (1953) with doris day. it was so fun and colorful, yet weird -- here was calamity jane and wild bill hickock, both of whom i'm more used to envisioning in a vastly rougher context.

now i have doris day's voice in my head, singing take me back to the black hills, the black hills of dakota, to the beautiful

aw, she is cute, isn't she? she's even cuter in the movie. tho it's a bit jarring to hear her aw-shucks-tarnation accent give way to her super-smooth singing voice.

we do have plenty left! usually they are $3 each, i don't know if you want to order from the website (lp2 & boy in 7 seasons) or if you want to trade for small letpress items, ephemera, etc? let me know. the two i would send are pretty small things and nothing too fancy.
