You underestimate her, Peter! On Monday, she had started doing research on this "world-hopping" business, and by Wednesday, Abby had her appointment all lined up, and ready to go.
So! There she is, strolling along the sidewalk, and in a city as busy as New York, even this early, there was a fair amount of foot traffic. But, even among the many, and varied styles of the Big Apple, Abby sort of stood out.
Checking the little slip of paper in her hand, she paused just a few feet from the out of the way coffee shop, and started scanning the area, herself. Eye peeled for Peter whom she'd found an old picture of attached to his brother's file. Of course, people change over time, so she couldn't be one hundred percent sure what Peter might look like, now, but hey! She was here, right? Better to take a good look before going inside ( she promised Ziva that she would bring her coffee from New York this morning, just to prove that "the odd duck website" really existed. )

It wasn't so much that he underestimated her... alright, so maybe he did. But this.. having abilities thing had failed him, so it was entirely possible that something could happen that would make it far too difficult for her to show up. It wasn't so much he underestimated her, as he underestimated worldhopping in general.
Checking the time once again, he rocked on his heels as he waited, still focused on looking around for any sign of.. someone that seemed to be looking for this coffee shop in particular. And it was fairly difficult not to notice Abby walking up. He would have noticed her even if she hadn't stopped and checked the place, because.. well-- Wouldn't anyone? Looking over at her, he waited a few moments before he lifted his hand and gave a casual, but curious wave, not entirely sure if she was the person that he'd been looking for.

Blinking, the small smile gets turned up a few watts, and Abby strolls fearlessly right up to Peter. He looked like his picture, only a little bit older, and different hair - not bad at all!
With her platform boots adding a couple of inches of height to her, Abby shifted her parasol, and purse strap to be held in the same hand, then stuck her freed hand out, fingerless glove, and all, to shake.
SHE'S AN ADORABLE GOTH SNOWFLAKE. XDaskedtobeJune 28 2010, 17:16:42 UTC
While Abby walks right on up, Peter gives himself a push away from the wall of the restaurant, not really minding her attire at all. She gets a once over, but if anything, it's unconscious. Granted, the parasol is a little much, but he's grown up in New York. It's not like he hasn't seen stranger things.
"Right. And you're.. Abby?" Amused, but still trying to ignore the difference in their height, he shakes her head and then gives a backwards nod towards the coffee place. "All ready for your daily dose of caffeine?"
