A few years ago I used to mess with this guy, then I cussed him out and deleted him off my facebook. Now we are friends again and I want to send him a message but the last message where I cussed him out is STILL THERE. I can't send a new message now because I don't want him to see that and I don't want to relive it. I know this is stupid and petty ( Read more... )

I think that's unilateral though, if you delete a conversation or message on your end, I don't think it disappears on their end. Or does it? Hm, someone should do a test conversation to try this.

You're right, it would only delete on my side. He would still be able to see it.

How do you know he hasn't deleted the message in his inbox? Just because you still have it doesn't mean he does :)
Plus, while it would be uncomfortable if he did have it and saw it if you messaged him now, you're facebook friends again, so hopefully he is over what you said to him.
