To those who play games on Facebook: how do you get people to send you things via posting? If I ask for it I get like 10x the amount I need, but I haven't gotten a single item I've asked for via posting (and that is the only option). Am I doing something wrong? I've got 90+ friends so I don't think that's the issue. It just sucks because I can't ( Read more... )

I don't play anymore (FarmVille) but I opened an account so I asked and sent directly. Also, searching for tricks and getting people on my friends list only for gaming. Always answering asks and posts so people did it with myself. Good luck.

Your friends aren't going to send you things unless they too play the games. You need to add other players.

About 80 of my friends are other players of that particular game (chefville) though.

Have you checked Zynga's site to see if they are having issues at their end?

No, but I'm pretty sure it's not that since my sister is getting all of hers. Maybe I just don't have enough friends yet? IDK. I've only been playing a few days.

What Crassy said. Your friends don't give a shit about your fb games unless they're playing themselves. And even then, they probably don't care.

Years ago myself & my flatmate were obsessed with that Playfish pet game, but no one else was so we made 2 fake fb account each to send ourself & each other stuff. I still use them to send myself shit in SimCity, although I've stopped playing that the last week or so. I also log into my mums fb account to send myself stuff.

Your best bet is to go to the game's fb page & ask for adds there.

You need to add some peeps that are really rabid about playing the same games you do. Go to the "like" page of the game and add some of the folks looking for friends. Actually, add a lot of those folks. I play a bunch of the games on there, I have a lot of gaming friends, and I generally get all my posted requests filled within... like... seconds of posting.

Sometimes it's timezone issues - I was always on at night which was apparently when all my friends were asleep or at work. Other times it's because of the 'top stories' v 'most recent' issue, FB doesn't place much importance on posted requests.
