I find your habit of disdaining punctuation mildly irksome.

I'd be pretty okay with a one-a-day political post limit (for the comm, not per person) and temporary bans of violators.

I'd be behind this as well.

So a Political :: POST SHIT IT HERE kind of post?
If there was just a single post for the day where everyone could wage political war at each other and the interwebz. And all the other posts go about their merry way.
Other wise if one person posts faster than others "Some topics/questions" might not be answered.

You could ask nicely, but half the AMA's won't see the post, and do it anyway. Maybe.

I must say that I find this post rather outrageous: a request is made (and comments agree with) limiting the content of the community.

What's so bothersome is that I hear this request a lot in other venues, both online AND in real life. A couple of guys having a lively discussion about the election, and a co-worker tells them to shut up because she doesn't want to hear it. Or people un-following each other on Twitter or Facebook because one or the other makes a few extra posts in their timeline about their pet cause or candidate. These people are making their voice heard, an expression that is not only a right, but a responsibility we have to each other in the theater of polite dialogue. Demanding we shut up because you don't want to hear/read about it is just as disrespectful to the concept of civil discourse as it is screaming your opinion in someone's face ( ... )

tl;dr censorship bad mmmkay

I believe I did qualify my question with the phrase "stupid". If you want to debate Romneys take on health care vs Obama's I have no problem with it. Drivel like this though gets annoying
