I hope no one feels targeted because I can't for the life of me remember how specific members look like. Its not about me thinking people are ugly, I'm just not a fan of exaggerated compliments and the patting ourselves on the back thing.

I'm sorry, that should be met with "You certainly do", not a billion comments saying "omg no bb you are soooo beautiful!"

I'm being a bit felicitous and embellishing things, but the over-the-top patting each others back that goes on makes me want to vomit.

Ugh. My friend has the ugliest baby I've ever seen. I just refuse to comment on the photos she posts of him, because I don't want to lie about how cute he is.

Totally different watching your own child being born or giving birth. It's not so much the visuals that make it beautiful, obviously, but the overwhelming emotions you feel are impossible to separate from the actual birth and that's what makes it seem beautiful.

Also the nature of (artificial) creativity. I've hit an impasse a number of times with people in the community who believed that computers were incapable of doing creative things as humans do.

Oh I see! Yeah, I don't get the hate about them. I have an old pair of Celtic Sheepskin boots (pretty much identical to Uggs) and they saw me through a bad winter, so cosy!
