I am technologically challenged but maybe you can help me once again

So within the past few months, a kindly friend introduced me to the magic of torrents. I found a reliable site that's never done me wrong and am now enjoying all the television shows I could never afford DVDs of. (Perhaps some of you think I am a bad person for this. I am sorry, but I am extremely broke and certainly not even close to being one of ( Read more... )

Yes. Once it is in file format and the file is not corrupted in any way, you can just transfer it via USB or whatever other method you wish, and watch it from there. If you have a television that has a USB port, you can also plug it in there, or put the show onto a DVD and watch it via a DVD player/Xbox etc.

To do this via a flash drive, all you do is plug the flash drive into the USB port, transfer the video file (not the torrent file) onto the drive. Then properly disconnect the flash drive and plug it into the other computer. Open the flash drive file and double click on the video file. Voila!

Flash drive is easiest, yeah. Or else you could just set up a home network and transfer them that way but that's probably more complicated. You can get decent-sized flash drives for really cheap these days.

Well, if you aren't sure how to check what is on a flash drive, I would say very difficult. :P

GOD I WANT TO SEE THIS SO BAD.
I hear Game of Thrones is great too, but I don't really like fantasy or things set a long time ago or, like, LOTR-type stuff..do you think I would like it anyway? I mean, I really just like good drama.

GoT is fantasy, set in a similar (but not) setting to LOTR that mimics a type of middle ages world. So...probably not if you don't like any of those things.

Besides a flash drive, you could burn the videos to a data DVD and play them on his machine. That requires that your machine have a DVD burner and his has at least a DVD drive of any sort.

Echoing the flash drive.

Also, to set bf's mind at ease, be sure to scan the flash drive to make sure you haven't picked up a bug.
