Sorry to say, but it looks like a case of extremely racially motivated selective application of laws. The so-called Florida "Stand Your Ground" law that is being used as an excuse not to arrest this guy absolutely crystal-clearly does NOT apply - just like it sounds, the law says you can stand your ground and defend yourself if you're being attacked. Zimmerman was not being attacked, he pursued a kid who happened to be the wrong color and wearing a hood to keep out of the rain. I cannot even come close to expressing my absolute disgust over how this has been handled, or the smear campaign that some adults have commenced on the murder victim's reputation.

I completely agree. I think the law is actually a good one, but this one particular example of it being (mis)used is giving it a terrible name.

I'm disappointed that this has become so political. A kid was shot and killed. We don't know all the details of this tragedy but somehow we have to find a political angle on it? It's now making news that the guy who pulled the trigger is a Hispanic Democrat. IT SHOULDN'T MATTER!

Sometimes (when I'm not going on a cheap shopping trip) I wish Canada were a little bit farther away from US.

Whether he ends up convicted or not, I just want Zimmerman to be arrested, have his day in court, and for the evidence to be shown.

Hahaha, I so do not feel the same way after watching the trial. I feel that he should've been found guilty, based on what was presented.

But I guess I can't bitch, he did get his day in court and it was a fair trial.
