Travel buddy

I am going to Nicaragua in March, just for a couple of weeks. I'm fine with traveling by myself but I would prefer to travel with someone. It looks like it's much easier to find someone from the US/Canada than from my part of the world. Any recommendations/websites/communities to find a travel companion from another country?

i would maybe try craigslist. i've searched for stuff like rims for my car on the site but there's are other things to look for too. it's an international listing site for things for sale and things wanted. you can adjust your search for the states or for nicaragua. good luck =]
