He's probably just another serial adder who thinks he's "networking". It seems like one day Google+ was pretty intimate and the next, I was bombarded with share notifications from a bunch of serial adders. Like Marla said, he probably wound up with one member on his list and then added everyone else from their circles. I doubt there's much of a point to his doing it.
I hang with some folks in Madison that have a small comic & graphic novel collective, and through that, they know a couple of folks with some small market cred in the field. At first, I thought he might have picked me up there. But then a bunch of AMAers all got him at once...
Or, maybe I'm the vector? Maybe he picked me up through the circles of the comic folk, and from there, dug into my circles & started serial adding AMA folk?
Could be! I wondered the same thing about me as well. I have a lot of info in my profile on Google+ including some information about writing. There is also some information various places about me being involved in the horror and sci-fi genres -- movie reviews and some junk like that.
He appears to write for some show on SyFy Channel or something, so at first, I figured he was searching teh Google Positives for other people involved with those genres. Then I wondered if maybe he added me there because he figured out I write reviews and whatnot for a couple of media outlets and planned on bugging me for pimpage or something (wouldn't be the first time), especially since one of the sites I write for is heavily involved with SyFy.
Then when I never really heard from him further as far as hitting me up for favors or anything, I figured he was just serial adding people in the name of ~networking. Who knows though! Could have been any one of us.
