Have you ever felt like there are two 'kinds' of people? One 'type' that's more aware than others, more 'sentient', more capable ( Read more... )

I honestly have a lot of trouble just sitting and watching TV, and I pretty much never do it. My boyfriend can sit and watch TV and do nothing else for hours, and I don't know how he can stand it!

I think I understand what you mean. I think it has to do with brain stimulation and references through their upbringing and lives. It's not only intelligence, but also emotional intelligence.
Those people tend to have a wider view on things and have less drama in their lives.

Yeah. I'm glad I got more responses to this question, even if it's still not very many. It's been really interesting to see how people try to interpret my nonsense, even if it's not quite what I was trying to say!

It just seems like some people are... more. Than others. More human and less like an animal? I don't know.

Yeah, I meant to say that too. I was actually saying that the other day, it seems that some people are more evolved than others.

That's a good way to put it, more evolved than others.

Most of my family, if I tried to talk to them about anything other than what was happening on fox news, they genuinely didn't seem to be able to process it. It wasn't about being open or close minded, or just being stubborn, or consciously making a decision to ignore me. I would watch the look of confusion on their faces, and it was like I was speaking Greek to them. They COULDN'T UNDERSTAND, even if they wanted to. They could only keep repeating what they were told by somebody else.

I think these 'less evolved' people are generally what's keeping us from advancing at a quicker pace. They're pretty easy to control and manipulate. But I figure as time goes on, there'll probably be less and less of them.

I think this is one of the closer interpretations to what I mean. It feels like there's one group of humans who can't think past their immediate wants. They can't really PROCESS and don't seem to have critical thinking skills, they can only parrot what they've been told, do what they've been directly taught ( ... )
