Ouija?

Sep 21, 2010 08:11

My sister and I are thinking about getting a Ouija board for Halloween, but after years of stories of how they went wrong at one point or another (usually inviting a dark spirit into your home) we're both a bit hesitant. So are these things really dangerous? Our family is already sort of cursed with crazy paranormal shit. Should we risk adding to ( Read more... )

My mom would never let me use one when I was little, only saying that she had had a bad experience with one, but would never tell me the story. Not that that stopped me, of course. The thing moves, that's for sure, although I don't have any creepy stories.

If you already have paranormal issues, I wouldn't mess with it. But I'm sure there will be alot of skeptics here telling you to go for it. It's just a question of what you believe.

Hmmm...yeah. I'm worried we'll make things worse, but we're so curious and I hate chickening out of things.

We had a psychic tell my husband once (out of the blue, randomly, during a reading being done at work for him) that we should never bring one in our house.

As curious and tempted as I am, I'm scared enough by this to listen.

Yeah. My mom said she tried it when she was younger and for a few weeks after she kept seeing this little men following her around. IDK I'm so conflicted! On one hand I don't want to make anything worse than they are but on the other hand I feel like if anything happens it will be exciting.

I'm curious, what line of work involves bringing psychics on to the premises?

He was working for a web design company at the time. They did a website for a local psychic who did a lot of radio shows and she came in and did readings for all the staff.

Well no, we're seriously thinking about this and so we're open to not doing it.

Are you serious? It's a toy. You think there's a toy company imbuing its products with potent dark spirits?

Are you kidding? Toys have the MOST potential for evil!

Haven't you ever seen Chuckie or Puppetmaster or the infinite number of stories about haunted dolls out there?

I know you were probably being sarcastic but in all actuality, dolls can easily hold spirits. That's why I never buy them second-hand. Last time I did, it moved around in my room when I wasn't home.
