Sports have always been something that Alice has enjoyed. Back when she had been able to see the future, the thrill had come from seeing the outcome and then watching it come to be. Sports move fast, outcomes and futures ran through her head like lightning. That had been a rush she had reveled in ( Read more... )

Rahne hasn't felt quite right in her own skin since Halloween, since she got to be a wolf again, if not quite the way she'd been before. Now, she can try all she wants to ignore it, but that isn't exactly an easy thing. All she can do is keep moving, never stand still, which is just about the only reason why she's out at the field now, the change of scenery just about the only thing refreshing she can find.

"Nice shot," she calls when she sees the goal, heading over to lean against the side of the net, one arm propped up on its frame. "Though I don't think ye've got a particularly tough opponent."

Alice shrugs. She's more than aware that mind over matter only really matters when she's practicing her best karate kid. These times were rare before and they're even more rare now when she's down a handy set of pseudo-super powers.

"You're right, but I was alone so the goal was my only option," she says as she wanders towards the ball. "It could be worse. The ball could be exploding or trying to eat someone."

"After the other day, it wouldn't surprise me if it were," Rahne laughs dryly, one corner of her mouth hitching up in a smirk. It certainly wouldn't be the strangest thing she's seen, though she's become fairly certain she could say that about everything to do with this place. "When a place gives ye Dracula and Frankenstein, it's only a matter of time before a ball tries to eat people."

"Let's not forget the sudden proliferation of werewolves on the island," Alice reminds. Sure Dracula might have been something of a hoot, but he wasn't the sort of vampire that scares her. He had just been a guy with a penchant for blood and impaling people on stakes.

"I'm going to hope that it stays away from balls that hunger for human flesh."
