Justin watches the 2011 All-Star Game festivities. He gives Jess so much shit over Eric's comment about being used to having her next to him, calling her a homewrecker, asking if she was about to become the newest member of the Staal collective. It's embarrassing but funny, except for how he won't stop texting her and she's trying to make time with Logan Couture, so she's probably going to turn her phone off soon. The next time they hang out Jess is going to be the worst cockblock ever, in revenge.

Jesssssss. <3 I'm still super in love with her relationship with Gabe. I love exes who are still friends, I don't even know. Justin is also A+, mind, I'm just saying.

Justin knows about Gabe, but somehow it doesn't connect in his head when Jess is talking about him that he's that Gabe until mid-November, when he gets a text Do you still miss Katy? Talk to her now that you're seeing other people? and he's not sure how to answer. He misses the idea of Katy, but mostly he's so busy with classes and the season that it's not like there's a hole in his schedule or social life where she used to be.

IDK. I thought I'd be back in Kitchener this season. It could still happen, I guess. At first Justin doesn't really get why that should make a difference, but then it connects. And, wow, that is Jess's Gabe. Okay. That doesn't really give him any idea how to help, though.

They stay together, for certain values of the word, until the end of December. Gabe has a 10 day break over Christmas, and he goes home to Sweden for a week after the Rangers' game against Guelph. He returns to Toronto on the 27th, and Jess flies up that day too, because there were no direct flights immediately after the Canes' game on the 26th. Ostensibly she's traveling separately from the team, earlier, to see her family, but Gabe's going to be there until the morning of the 29th, when he has to return to Kitchener morning skate before their game against Windsor
