I think someone has forced Skins not to gel the whole thing down on top so it looks less mullety now. It's better when it's curling, but not all horrible untidy ringlets the way it gets on the ice when he's all sweaty.

But yessss. JStaal's go-to casual insult/method of annoying people is reminding them that they're shorter than he is, y/y? I would be super into how being told this all the time makes Jeff rage, especially because Jordan looks so delighted every time he says it, like he can't believe he's come up with such a new and perfect gem.

DEFINITELY. Jordan used to prod Sid with that insult all the time, but Jeff's reaction is infinitely better. He's like a cat, all spitting temper and outrage. But then he'll go do something like strip a puck from someone and squeak through a pair of defenders to skate it into the zone, and he gives Jordan this look, like he's saying power forward, my ass, I'd like to see you skate like that, Staal, which just makes Jordy egg him on even more.

Especially when sometimes Jeff's defiant move results in a goal, and Jordy can pointedly loom over him as they hug and say things like, "not bad, short stuff." It's amazing how completely unthreatening Jeff's death eyes look when he can't stop dimpling, and it just makes Jordy want to squeeze him tighter and grin even more smugly. He's so angry.

It escalates, one pushing the other, teasing with an underlying thread of competition and something, something else, and Eric knows what Jordy's doing, but it's making Jeff play better, if more recklessly, so he's reluctant to put a stop to it. Even if he does think that Jordy's clueless about his own motivation.

[:( Jeff Skinner's not going to Montreal? I hope it's not concussion-related. He played more in Thursday's game after that hit, and then he skated at practice on Friday, but that doesn't mean much. And PK Subban's suffering flu-like symptoms along with Carey Price? Ugh, EVERYONE IS ILL OR HURT.]
