We seriously spent an afternoon debating whether or not to put a piece of data in our paper because it made the story harder to sell, but we couldn't justify NOT sharing it. I'm pretty sure most labs judiciously edit what they show and what they don't in an effort to get published, but never as hilariously as those methods. :)
:) I'm imagining Brad TDY at Twentynine Palms. The unrelieved boredom of his billet there is the only reason he agreed to meet Person in Vegas one weekend, right? :D?
I'm sort of intrigued by the fact that there are no power/authority dynamics there, tbh. They're from the same draft year and both of them are (for the moment) untouchable in terms of trade. And on the Jess front, the idea that they'd meet and hangout at the draft - Justin knows of Jess but he is in the USNDP pipeline so he hasn't played with or against her - and development camp but unlike some of the other prospects he's not threatened by her, because they aren't fighting for the same spot. So they end up being friends first, hence the first five non-kiss celebrations.
Or, you know, maybe I just feel that my fandom experience is incomplete without a J-squared. In which case Jess/Justin or Jess/Jordy is required for form's sake. :D
