Oh, Tom.

Also? My internet at home blows. IDK why, but the last few days it's been off more than on in the hours I've been home.

I am sort of amused by the fact that I walked past the NBC and ABC vans on my way to work today. Is it really that newsworthy that Barbara Bush had heart surgery at TMC?

I'm not sure how this would work. DNW. It ( Read more... )

I really want to see them tour this summer, but they're opening for DMB. I don't dislike DMB, but I am not the world's biggest fan. And the venue (a LiveNation venue, which annoys me on multiple levels) is good for big festivals, but it's not the sort of place I'd like to see them. It's a big amphitheater with a really tiny pit and some covered seats, then a big lawn from which you can't actually SEE anything. It's really hard to get pit passes, and I JUST WANT TO SEE THE HOLD STEADY!

That's such a weird combination. That I completely object to. That tour isn't all summer, right? Maybe they'll come back soon.
Have you seen them before?

No, it's just early summer, I think. Their last tour didn't come to Houston, and I didn't really know their music at all until a little over a year ago, so I have NOT seen them yet.

It was soooooo good! I think they did a good job keeping faithful to the graphic novel (although it has been many many years since I read it, so I could be wrong about that) while still paring it down to fit into 2 1/2 hours. Plus. Bob Dylan's Times They Are A-Changin' at the opening and MCR's cover at the closing credits, yessssss! Actually, I thought all the music they used was pretty fitting.
