Wow, that was an amazing article. I agree, that it's really his ability to pull together seemingly disparate facts about the brain and its workings that create a kind of whole picture of the mind. I was thinking that one thing that's really amazing about this approach is that he doesn't just say, oh my mind's damaged and now nothing works the same anymore. Rather it's a whole continuum of functionality from things he can still do, to the things he barely do at all
