Korean drama Rooftop Prince is scheduled for U.S. DVD release this July 2012 from YA Entertainment, and AsianPopShock has a sneak peek at the first draft DVD cover artwork!
The commentator was probably referring to YA's releases. It seems kind of redundant to say there will be Korean subtitles when the show is being released in the States where the majority of the people speak English... Maybe that's what the commentator was trying to imply by that comment.
I've always found it a little strange myself that they felt the need to say it has English subs. I buy a lot of anime and they usually just say they have English subtitles in the buyer's description or on the back in small print under the language options, just like a normal movie would. Korean dramas are the only place where I've seen the English subtitles options emphasized like that on the front cover.
Hi! K-dramas from YA Entertainment are licensed and distributed especially for U.S. & Canadian English-speaking audiences (and anyone with a Region 1 DVD player), so they do include English subtitles. No worries on that front. :D
Are you wondering about a particular show from a different distributor? Let me know!
