(Not So) New Release Pick of the Week: Battle Royale

There weren't any big North American releases of Asian films or TV series this week, but rather than just skipping "Pick of the Week," I wanted to give a shout out to Anchor Bay's recent long-awaited Blu-ray and DVD release of Battle Royale.

Battle Royale takes place in an alternate Japan where society is plagued by all manner of evils. School

Me too! I sent my old Korean DVD release to a friend, so I could have an excuse to pick up the new Blu-ray edition. :D

I'll probably give my HK edition to my dad. xD It's not weird at all for me to keep two copies of things, but I doubt I'll do that with this.
