Yes, I also see Turkey as being Middle-Eastern/WestAsian. It has many similarities to Middle-eastern countries and to SouthAsians countries, as you've pointed out.

Welcome to the community, I visited the Hagia Sophia on my way to Iran 4 years back. The landmarks left by the Ottoman's and the Byzantine Empire are incredible. Turkey is a very beautiful country.
