It was heartbreaking to write - Victor is such an amazing character, but he was the only one who could really leave a message from beyond the grave.

Oh wow! You made my day (don't ask, it was just shitty) and thanks for giving the exact reaction I was aiming for. The intricacy is easy enough when I'm writing but I usually have to wait a week (work) to start the next chapter, meaniing I have to re-read everything else or make serious continuity errors - I see why full-time authors sometimes closet themselves away.

Fantastic, you got the 'Johnny is alive' bit, easily missed with everything else. This of course opens up a whole can of worms if Oliver survives, everyone will just have to wait until the next chapter...
