Oh thank you thank you thank you! I was suffering from Ash and Scribbs withdrawl. I loved it! This should tide me over until the 12 new fics come flying in tomorrow!
Glad you liked Ash's family. I stole the brother's name from one of your fics, for consistency.
In my head, the mother started off being played by Penelope Keith (hence the name), but by the end she had sort of morphed into a mixture of Harriet Walter and Penny Downie. Both of whom have played Lisa Faulkner's mother at one time or another. My head is a strange place.

wow. I almost don't know what to say. You know you're brilliant, don't you? This is so wonderful, I think I need to read it again. You captured them so well.
Oh God, I am still writing mine and you have posted already! Feeling a bit pressured now. That aside... Nice story. A good opening to the ficathon. My favourite line is "Left him where?" But I'm left wondering... what is Scribbs's tattoo of?
I hope you didn't feel too pressured. Time zones and all that.
My favourite line is "Left him where?" - I kinda liked that one myself.
But I'm left wondering... what is Scribbs's tattoo of? - That's completely up to you and your imagination...and you're one to talk!!! Leaving us with that tantalising discussion of...something that Ash was willing to do for Scribbs. If you write that, I might write something about Scribbs' tattoo.

I'm glad you liked it, I'm always nervous about introducing 'original' characters so I'm relieved you thought they worked.
Thank you.

I had just watched the episode of 'New Tricks' where she plays Lisa's mum. However, I was more thinking of her in 'Sense and Sensibility'.
