Actually, I envision both stories as part of a very long series

Words that please me greatly :)

I am continuing to enjoy your re-imagining of the last episode. And you really seem to climb inside Ash's head every time you write her.

No, of course not, was what she thought, but she didn't say it. She was too busy wondering what Scribbs had pictured, while simultaneously dealing the sound of a hundred and one alarm bells going off in her head. - Perfect image.

My favourite parts are all to do with Ash's repressed nature:

The self-deprecating words made Ash's throat tighten. "Scribbs... You haven't. You haven't messed anything up."

"You haven't," she said again. "Please don't apologize for..." Loving me. Wanting me. The words refused to pass her lips. It's me who should apologize. Me who's failed you. I'd explain it if I could -- if I understood myself why I can't just let it happen.

Don't let go, she wanted to say, but she couldn't.And Scribbs' realisation about Ash's reaction is lovely. I really hope we get to see this 'very ( ... )

With any luck I can make my fiacthon story part of the series. That way there's guaranteed to be a least one more installment.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm something of an Ash myself, so I find her easy to write.

I like to kid myself that I'm a Scribbs, but I'm totally an Ash. Right down to the earplugs.

I started reading this with the expectation of a nice little fluffy, two in a bed, type story but you delivered so much more. Ash's vulnerability and Scribbs' realisation provided wonderful insight into both characters and gave them an extra layer you never got to see on the show. Thanks for this and I look forward to more in the series.

Yeah. A gay layer!

I enjoyed less-angsty-more-sexy revisions of the bed scene done by yourself and others, but as usual I had to go in a more difficult direction.

I really liked this piece. As someone said above, I was initially expecting a cute fluff fic but this was much better: really lovely, with beautiful characterisation.

One tiny nitpick: in the paragraph starting "Okay, this is bordering on obsession now", us Brits would say arses instead of asses. (Sorry to be anal.)

I'll be looking out for the rest of the series.

Nitpicking appreciated! I have changed "asses" to "arses" in the revised version. Like others in this comm, I'm grateful for help with the Britishisms.
