oddly enough we studied the ridiculousness of group projects in my rhetoric class, as teachers who give group projects are unwittingly continuing certain hegemonic practices that help further seperate individuals into categories (the slacker, the follower, the leader) so instead of getting slackers to do their work and break away from the normal tradition, their basically setting them up for failure while forcing the leaders to become more self-reliant which they usually already are....or something, it could've just been a dream as well....moral of story, i hate group projects too :(
