Hmm...I actually think Mace Windu's distrust of Anakin has to do with how Anakin killed Count Dooku. In the ROTS novel, he asks more about how Count Dooku was killed, and Palpatine lies about how Anakin really murdered Dooku. But he still felt a bit suspcious, and probably started to doubt Anakin because of this. Anakin also has a lot of fear and anger inside him which gives Mace further reasons to doubt him. And also he was close to Palpatine. I don't think he was ever jealous, I'm not sure where that idea came from.

The only two people who know how Dooku was killed were Anakin and Palpatine. Obi-Wan was on the floor, unconscious, at the time. So, how would Mace know?

Mace's suspicions regarding Anakin were centered more on the latter's friendship with Palpatine and discovery by the Jedi Council that a Sith Lord was part of the Chancellor's inner circle. Yoda and most of the members of the Council all shared Mace's distrust. But Mace is the only one that fans accuse of not distrusting Anakin.
