I needed a solution to the babe bonking his head on our fireplace. I saw this solution in a parenting magazine. I was so irritated when all the other babyproofing sets for a fireplace were $50+. I bought foam letters from onestepahead.com. Then I used a exacto knife to cut the bottom off. I put packaging tape on the back of the letters so that

i love those foam letters! the babies i nanny have them and not only are they great for safety... but we take out the little hole pieces (like in the a, b, p and r) and use them as bath toys! they stick to the walls of the tub and the girls think it's HILARIOUS! lol
