Is it super awful that the Olympics are just a couple hours away from me and I could totally care less? Everyone seems to be all gushing with pride or whatever and I don't think it's a big deal.

I'm just a bad, bad Canadian. :)

No, that's totally how I felt about it when they were here in SLC in 2002, and some of the events were happening in my town, 40 minutes from SLC.

On the last Saturday of the Olympics, my mom and I finally adventured into the downtown hubbub of stuff going on, and THEN I got it - got the significance and the excitement and how cool it was.

I'd say if you have a chance to just go out to Vancouver and/or any of the events, indulge in it. It'll be fun. But yeah, I totally get where you're coming from, as I said.

No worries my friend, I do not care in any way about the Olypmics. Except for the fact that Lola told me Shane Koyczan performed some poetry at the opening ceremony. So if you're a bad Canadian then I guess I am too, we can be unpatriotic together.

I haven't met anyone over here who is not a fanatic about the olympics though...its seriously LAME sauce you are not missing anything, except for exceptionally long waits in traffic
