What I want in a music player for my Ubuntu box, that Rhythmbox doesn't have:

• playlist folder hierarchy, like iTunes
• lots of track metadata, like iTunes

A possibility, but it means drinking some of the KDE Kool-Aid.

AmaroK. Makes iTunes look like shit. No need to run KDE.
