IT DIED.
First it wouldn't connect on to the internet, so I turned it off.
BIG MISTAKE.
NOW IT WON'T TURN ON, AT ALL.
I think I am in shock or something. I'm not even processing it properly, but my God, I have the possibility of losing everything. All my films, HOUSE EPISODES, MUSIC OMG, NO. JUST, NO. NOT AGAIN.

Not all is lost yet. Even if the power's off and they can't fix the problem, chances are you can still recover your data. My power jack malfunctioned twice and my brother was able to load all my stuff onto an external. It'll be fine! -hugs-

what bugs me is I can't get it looked at for another 2/3 days because it is the holidays. Every time this happens, I swear I'll stop torrenting, and then I never manage to stick to that for too long because I need my shows. Sometimes I wished I lived in the states if only for the health of my HD

I know some stores are open until 10pm, you can call the store nears your place and ask them when they close, hope it help. :)

But -- bright side. You have a mac? My cube-mate's computer has died at least half a dozen times (we have macs at work), and the tech guys are ALWAYS able to recover all his data. There's a good chance the Apple people will be able to save yours, too. *fingers crossed*

It feels better than last time, because this time I got a blinking cursor while last time I only got a weird ticking noise and a LONG DEAD, NOT REVIVABLE from the Apple techs *sigh* I'll find out tomorrow *bites nails anxiously*
