Chapter Six

Several things were going through Anthony's mind as he hurried back to his hotel room to flee from Mitchell. 1: What was his deal about something going on between him and Ian? 2: Of all things Mitchell could have said to describe the action of the photo, he chose 'kissing'. 3: Mitchell must have seen something happen before or else he wouldn't have been curious about the photo in the first place. Anthony felt like he was the one who was over thinking things. It was random and completely out of the ordinary for Mitchell to ask such questions. Anthony felt annoyed and he just wanted to sleep. He quickly inserted his room key in the key slot and barged in.
"Whoa there." Ian jumped at the unexpected slamming of the door. He was lying stomach first on his bed checking comments on the latest Mailtime w/ Smosh episode on his MacBook. "You scared me."
"Here." Anthony tossed the Pepsi bottle over to Ian's side. He laid on his bed, crossed his arms over his eyes and deeply sighed.
"'Sup, man?" Ian opened the soda bottle which made a refreshing hissing sound. "You look mad stressed out already and we've only been here for one day."
"I bumped into your old friend, Mitch at the vending machines." Anthony sat up against the headboard of the bed. "He feels like he knows about us."
"Huh?" Ian raised an eyebrow.
"He has a picture of us on top of the Ferris Wheel that time we went to the carnival." Anthony explained. "The picture was blurry, but he figured out what we were doing."
"What?" Ian questioned. "Did he take it?"
"No, his niece did. She was riding on a sky lift." Anthony sighed. "Now he thinks we're together and he said if he sees anything, he'll tell the director. That douche. Who does he think he is?"
Ian didn't know how to respond. He didn't know exactly what to think either.
"No offense though." Anthony suddenly said. "He's your friend so I shouldn't really be saying anything..."
"It's fine." Ian said. "He did ask me about us at Kevin's party because he saw our announcement video."
"Really?" Anthony inquired. "What do you say?"
"I told him we weren't anything." Ian answered. He set his Pepsi aside on the bedside table. "He understood and apologized to me for asking about it."
"That's weird. He, like, accused me of lying to our friends and fans." Anthony laid back down again. He was slowly getting a headache. "I feel like he's got beef with me or something."
"I say," Ian sat on the edge of his bed, facing toward Anthony. "Don't let him annoy you. Just focus on the commercial. And if Mitchell says he'll say something to the director, whatev. We won't do anything. If worse comes to worst, we have our friends, fans, and each other. Right?"
Anthony smirked at his best friend, but warmly. "How do you always think so positive?"
"Without me, you'd be a wreck." Ian said proudly. He checked his Android phone and it was almost 1AM. "Alright. We need to sleep now."
"'Kay." Anthony got up from his bed and headed to the bathroom. "I'll take a quick shower. Night."
"Goodnight." Ian smiled. He put his MacBook away, got under his covers and happily cuddled with a pillow. As soon as he heard the bathroom door close, his smile slowly disappeared and he closed his eyes shut. "It's not always easy to think positive..."

Everyone got up bright and early for the first day of shooting. They all met at a studio that was a few blocks away from the hotel. They passed by 5 star restaurants, boutiques, an ultimate Apple Store, and famous clothing stores. It was only 8AM and the cities were crowded. L.A. was known to be busy, filled with famous people, and hot guys and girls in swimsuits roaming around the beaches.
The studio was filled with laptops, sound equipment, lighting equipment, and green screens. The director, editors, and producers were already on set preparing the stage. Everyone was definitely excited to start filming.
Halfway through the day, the director made everyone take a break for lunch. Some of the YouTubers went to Dunkin Donuts to order snacks and iced coffees. Filming and acting was exhausting, but really exciting. Outside the studio, there was balcony that had a great view of Venice Beach. Anthony saw Ian on the balcony so he went over to him.
"Whatchu doin'?" Anthony asked.
"Reading texts I've got from Joe." Ian went through messages on his Android phone. "He said him and Brian were able to finish editing tomorrow's Charlie episode."
"That's good." Anthony said.
"Yup." Ian put his phone in his pocket and leaned on the balcony railing. He held his head high and enjoyed the gentle summer afternoon breeze. "Sometimes I wish I lived in L.A. It's so nice here!"
Anthony leaned on the railing next to Ian, their shoulders touching. The wind softly hit against their faces and it was refreshing from being inside the studio all day. "Someday you'll live out here by the ocean."
"You think? That'd be so awesome!" Ian merrily said. He held a fist in the air, feeling determined. "That's one of my goals in life: to live here in L.A.! Doesn't matter what I do here, as long as I'm happy! Right?"
Anthony looked at best friend, feeling happy to see him smile. "You're cute."
Ian didn't look at Anthony, but quietly blushed to himself. At the corner of his eye, he could see Anthony slowly closing in on his face. He shut his eyes, waiting for him to do anything that'll ache his stomach. Just when Anthony was inches away from Ian's face, they felt hands on their shoulders pulling them apart.
"Hey, guys." Said a manly voice. The two boys turned to see Mitchell casually squeezing himself in between them.
"Oh, hi, Mitchell." Ian awkwardly smiled. Anthony was already annoyed at Mitchell for interrupting them, but he kept his cool.
"Ian, the director wants to talk to you about the script." Mitchell smiled.
"He didn't ask for both of us?" Anthony inquired.
"Nope." Mitchell answered. "Just Ian."
"Okay." Ian said a bit reluctantly. He headed inside the studio, leaving Mitchell and Anthony alone. Anthony scooted away from Mitchell, trying to make it obvious that he didn't enjoy his presence.
"It's such a nice afternoon, isn't it." Mitchell smiled.
"I feel a storm coming in." Anthony said and headed back into the studio. As he walked away, he glared at him behind his shoulder. Mitchell smirked and enjoyed the breeze.

All afternoon, Anthony did his best to keep his cool and enjoy as much as possible with his YouTube friends. Every time he had the chance, without anyone looking, Anthony would sneak quick hugs and kisses to Ian. Anthony thought it would be fun to test his public display of affection towards Ian, even if it was just a mushy compliment. Ian thought it was the worst idea, especially with the director and producers around, but he loosened up and they made it into a fun little game. Their friends would ask about their weird behavior, but they laughed it all off in the end. However, with Mitchell on their tail, Anthony decided to end it and not risk their secret. It was hard, especially for Anthony. The more Mitchell was around, the more he wanted to be intimate with Ian. And Ian was clueless of the whole thing.
While Shay Carl was in front of the camera, the others were behind it, watching him in action. During his segment, Anthony stood right next to Ian. Ian was quietly laughing away with everyone and Anthony interlocked his hand with Ian's. Ian was startled, but a smile formed on his face. Anthony was content until he saw Mitchell glancing at them. Anthony let go of his hand and focused back on Shay's segment. Ian was confused then he figured out why. He was slowly understanding Anthony's annoyance towards Mitchell, because he wanted to have some fun, too. This little game was like cheating on a school exam: they have to cheat to get what they want without getting caught by the teacher.
It was around 8 in the evening when the first part of shooting ended. Everyone was totally exhausted and expected to be just as busy tomorrow. The director announced it was one of the make-up artist's birthday and she wanted to celebrate it after a long day of hard work. Jenna, the make-up artist, invited everyone to a famous bar to celebrate her birthday. Everyone immediately got pumped to party.
The director, however, said to everyone, "No more than 2 bottles of beer! That goes for everyone! I will keep a look out for all of you!"
Ian immediately looked at Anthony and he nodded, reassuring their agreement about beer earlier.

The YouTube gang arrived to the most famous bar in downtown L.A. A lot of people stopped at the unexpected appearance of famous YouTubers stepping out of a bus. They all took out their phones and cameras and instantly asked them to take pictures. Everyone was more than happy enough to give a few people autographs and take pictures together. The director knew there would be crazy fans out there so he ordered at least 3 bodyguards to lead the YouTubers into the bar.
"It's like we're in Hollywood!" Ian commented.
Inside the bar was like a nightclub. Loud music beat against all the walls of the dark room. The colored-lighted dance floor was crowded and every table was taken. Luckily Jenna made reservations for two booths next to the main bar.
Everyone gobbled up their dishes after starving for the entire day of shooting. The bartenders gave Jenna a birthday chocolate spongecake and they all sang to her. After that, they all decided to work it off by endless dancing, even with the director. Ian and Anthony were left behind at the booth, considering they were the slowest eaters.
"And you said this trip was all about business." Anthony laughed.
"Hey. I'm glad I was wrong." Ian finished his All American cheeseburger. A Britney Spears song came on and their friends called Ian and Anthony to come out on the dance floor.
"You coming?" Anthony got out of the booth.
"Go ahead." Ian waved at him. "I'm gonna go get a drink."
Anthony headed towards the dance and was quickly consumed by the mob of his YouTube friends. Ian headed towards the main bar and sat on a stool. He was about to ask for a Shirley Temple drink when Mitchell sat down right next to him.
"Hey, man." Mitchell greeted.
"Hey." Ian greeted back.
"Two over here, Budweiser." Mitchell called out to the bartender.
"Ah, it's okay." Ian quickly said. "I don't really drink."
"It's alright, man." Mitchell grabbed the two glasses of beer. "It's on me."
Ian wasn't planning on drinking, but he took the glass of beer anyway. The two guys talked and watched everyone dancing to up beat club music. The music transitioned to a slower tune but with a louder beat. The action on the dance floor became intense, which made Ian flinch a little in his seat.
"Hm?" Mitchell noticed his slight movement and laughed. "Grinding makes you feel uncomfortable?"
"Uh, yeah!" Ian said obviously. "You're pretty much having dry sex on the dance floor."
"Oh, hey." Mitchell took a sip of his Budweiser. "Looks like Anthony's getting lucky."
Ian looked around the floor. He spotted him with a hot brunette in a purple tank top and black short shorts. She was pretty much on top of him on the dance floor and she really wanted to get some action from Anthony. And by the look of it, Anthony wasn't against it. He held her by her small waist while she held him by the back of his neck. Ian felt warm by witnessing how hot and sexy Anthony was. But at the same time, he was jealous of the girl getting all of his attention.
"She's really hot." Mitchell commented. "Anthony sure knows how to get anybody, especially a girl like her."
"Yeah." Ian's mouth felt dry. He grabbed his glass, forgetting it was an alcoholic beverage, and gulped the entire beer. He felt really tempted to pull them apart. He wanted Anthony to hold him like that. He wanted to feel the hotness of Anthony's breath against his neck. He was on his way to the floor when he was stopped by one of the bodyguards.
"Ian, you don't look so good." The bodyguard said. "Are you okay?"
"Huh? Yeah, I'm fine." Ian said.
"Don't worry, sir." Mitchell smiled at the bodyguard. "I'll look after him if anything goes wrong."
The bodyguard wasn't much concerned after Mitchell's reassurance so he went off to another bodyguard watching the dance floor.
"But he's right." Mitchell looked at Ian. "Your face is red."
"I'm okay, Mitchell." Ian said. He began his way towards the floor when all of a sudden, the room started to spin. Ian started to see double and his vision quickly became blurry. He felt light-headed and dizzy. His eyes went out of control for a moment, but he swore he saw Anthony kissing that girl. The loud music was muffled in his ears and shortly after, he blacked out.

Ian woke up to a dark room with dim lighting. There was no more loud club music and it was utterly quiet. It wasn't crowded with people and it didn't feel stuffy. He blinked a few times repeatedly, trying to make out of the room. It looked exactly like his hotel room. He felt the surface below him and it was a comfy bed. But even with a soft bed underneath him, Ian had a splitting headache. He heard footsteps coming from somewhere in the room.
"Anthony..?" Ian managed to say. He felt weak and worn out, too.
"No." The voice said. "It's me, Mitchell."
"Mitchell." Ian quietly said. "Where's Anthony..?"
Mitchell leaned against the beige wall next to the bed. "Don't worry about him."
"Huh?" Ian blinked at him. "No, where is he? I need him."
"You don't need him." Mitchell said sternly. "You're better off without him."
"What the hell are you talking about?" Ian shut his eyes. His eyes were heavy and it was painful trying to keep them open. He tried to get up, but he was too weak to even keep his head up. "I need to get to him."
Mitchell unbuttoned his white collared shirt. He walked to the end of the bed and slowly climbed on top of Ian. He grabbed Ian's wrist and pinned them down against the mattress. Mitchell pushed his knee up in between Ian's thighs, pressing hardly on his crotch. The sudden feeling sent shivers up and down Ian's body. His crystal blue eyes shot open, meeting Mitchell's incredible hazel brown eyes. Ian never knew how attractive Mitchell was. He was fit and muscular. His body was completely gorgeous. But other than that, he was so confused as to what was happening.
"Mitchell, what are you--"
Mitchell smirked. "You're not going anywhere, Ian."
