Well, as it so happens, I was just checking my Friends page for the first time in 10 days, and whose post should be on top? Yours! And ... *dissolves into a giant puddle of rain and goo* ... Oh, Ash, this *is* indeed something to be proud of. Sentimentally, I think I still have a *tiny* preference for the flying-kiss, but this is just overflowing with sensuality, and the way Harry's hand slides up Draco's shoulder, and that *kiss* and the *rain* and ... oh my.

*bows to your genius*

What are the odds, eh? You know, considering how I only post once a month. Kismet, doll. Kismet.

Oh, I still prefer the flying kiss as well. Probably always will, because I tend to like the things I've done much better, always, than the things I'm doing.

But I love the rain. *bounces*

I'm so glad you like it! It felt so odd to do an animation without using you as my beta, oh she of the quick eye and seemingly flawless motion sense. (Of course, in this case it was simple to fix the flaws: simply add more rain. At one point, you couldn't even see the boys. ;)

Ahem, yes. But that's over now. And you like it, so yay, and all is right with the world, and in Florida there shall be no rain. Only sand and vultures. *grins*

Well, this one does seem more... hi-tech than the other one - by that I mean it looks like it took a lot more time to do than the flying kiss. Both of them are lovely, but this one seems to have more frames, more detail on light/shading and of course, the rain.

*bows before a true master* Though I have never been one to believe that Draco/Harry was cannonically possible, your fics and artwork have made me fervently wish that they were. Actually, no - JKR wouldn't make the romance live up to your fics.

Hey there! Almost missed you, up here hiding under Plu's comment. *grins*

Hi-tech? Yes. If by that you mean low-tech and very difficult. Twice the number of frames, roughly ten times the number of facial positions and body movements and yes, of course, the rain. That bloody rain. I'm so glad that it's noticable, because otherwise... ugh. What would be the point? :)

Not canonical, I agree, if only because she wouldn't have the time in the remaining books to do it... not and still have a plot, anyways. Besides, we'll always have fanfiction, eh? (Which means, in case you couldn't tell, that I'm flattered. Yes. Thank you. You're much too nice to me.)

That is beyond friggin amazing. The original picture is amazing enough, but the animation is just..guh. Absolutely gorgeous, I love the rain and omg yes the hands are amazing! I love the way Harry grabs Draco's head, hehe. You are so so so talented. And dedicated! I can't begin to imagine the amount of work that's gone into that. *boggled*

Thank you so much! And you took the time to comment on the original picture, the animation, the rains, *and* the hands. You should get some kind of prize for hitting all the bases here, but all I can offer is a bewildered thankfulness and my own repression of the urge to weep on your shoulder and tell you exactly how much work went into making it. *g*

(I love the head grabbing. Good idea of wayfairer's, that, even if it was a pain to do.)

Also boggled, but probably for different reasons,

Ash

gah almighty, Ash, warn a girl before you do that! :D I thought 'ooh, i'll just leave a quick note to say hi and take a peek at the art, lousy dialup internet taking forever to load-- ' and now I'm just gobsmacked thanks to that picture. Which is amazing. So I've got no coherence at all. (The fact that I'm all hepped up on crazy pills and concoctions at the moment has nothing to do with that, nothing I tell you! Stoopid Benadryl.)

And then I clicked on the animation. o_O

*ahem*
The rain! the hands! the rain!!! The shadows on their skin! And the light! Gah! *watches repeatedly*

You are an amazingly talented woman, m'dear :). That was just what I wanted to see this morning, I feel all warm and fuzzy. :)

(also, we must go see LOTR once you get back from the sun-filled south! I'll get in touch with you when I get back from break.)

Hi! *pounce* Are you having fun down there? Have you met Daniel and Amanda's new cat?

Aw, and you like the picture even without the animation. Thank you! I like it too, I admit, which is why I completely changed course on the animation after I finished it. (I've got a half-finished animation of Draco reflected moodily in a lake hanging around my hard drive. *g*)

The rain! How I love you for mentioning it. And the light! And the story that inspired it, which was part of every little bit of this.

(Oh yes. We shall be going to see it. Repeatedly. And then some more. Seen Peter Pan yet?)

Yes, I've met the cat. It's psycho. Prone to meowing at nothing and running random laps around the room, but it is very cute and at least doesn't seem to actively despise me. :) Makes my allergies go off like crazy, though.

And yes, I love the animation too but the drawing is just so... mmmm. I think I like Draco's hair better in the drawing than the animation. But the animation is incredible - I also love the head grab. *g* And ooh, half-finished pic of moody Draco? I must see. :)

Haven't seen Peter Pan yet - fremlin and I are going to try to see it before I leave. I am having a good time here but am sick, so that sucks.

Hey there! Yes, you did mention the rain. Feel free to continue to do so, because... yes. Hard, and time consuming. And hard some more, really. *grins*

Wait until you see the walkthrough... you're going to laugh once you really know how much time I spent on this.

*takes a bow, feeling vaguely silly*

I love both the picture and the animation. I especially like the way Harry draws Draco to himself in the animation, but I didn't completely melt until the end when the rain continues after the kiss itself becomes still. You did a wonderful job with this!

It's all from the story, really. I couldn't find a way to work dialogue in, so I went with the body language. Specifically, Harry's body saying, "C'mere, you."

And oh, there are no words for how much I love you for liking the rain continuing. Because in web-based graphics, every frame is crucial. I took over twenty frames out of this, and deliberated long and hard about just having a final still shot, but finally my love of the rain decided me. But still, I worried. So, yes. Thank you!
