[Rangiku is a social creature, and as such is going a bit stir crazy without her friends and the steady stream of friendly gossip that makes up Soul Society's most... prolific news network. She somehow managed due to mun fail to miss the party that she'd been planning on attending, so she is just going to have to settle for walking around town, ( Read more... )

[He doesn't really know too much about the spirits, but... might as well say what he does. He knows from the time he spent in Thrall's body that the spirits tend to talk a lot to those that are in sync with them.]

I'm not really an expert on the matter, but many of them will talk to you once you earn their trust. I think I've heard Nala and Kipinn are the nicest, though.

[Oh, hello there, Red! Your hair reminds her a little bit of Renji.]

Nala is the healing spirit and Kipinn is the one for... air, ne? What do you have to do to 'earn their trust?'

Yeah, air and wind. Well, I think many times the spirits would want you to learn and listen to them. And what you have to do varies between spirits, I think. Some are more temperamental, but I think I've heard Nala will talk to you so long as you have an interest in helping people.

[The 10th has had to make use of the 4th Division more times than your average squad, and as such there is no internal cringe of disgust at that inference - she owes her life to Kira's remembered skill, after all. But she's no healer.]

Healing is a very useful skill. But I can't say I've ever had much interest in it. I don't think I'd be very good at it. You have to be patient and it sounds like a lot of work. At least it was that way in my world.

Why do you want to talk to any of the spirits? [Never mind he's entertained the thought and actually -- he has spoken to one of them a few times. Damned annoying wind spirit.]

[Eh-heh-heh-heh. Why does she feel like she's in trouble? And - she doesn't feel like explaining herself over the journals.]

Why not? They sound like they could be friendly!

[Insert dry tone here:]

Overly so, I'm sure.

How can anyone be overly friendly?

Depends what you'd like to talk about. Most of them prefer hearing about themselves.... and their personalities are pretty distinct.

[Oh, you - she remembers you. The mushishi with the story about sakura.]

That's true with most things, ne? Different people like to talk about different things... what do the spirits here like to talk about, Ginko-san?

Oh, that's easy. Kipinn. He's friendly, but also playful.

Have you spoken with him often?

Oh, yes. He's best heard near or at the mountains, and I'm there often. He's almos always willing to communicate...and I think he's the most fun, of the spirits.

Nala. She's the kindest and easiest to speak with.

Ooh? And what do you do to talk with her?

Just sit somewhere and focus on calling her. She comes to you easily and doesn't mind helping you learn her magic.
