He really is in many ways a son to be proud of, and I always imagine his background - and hers - as being one in which only beating up the bad guys would be something to admire anyway.

I just wish they'd picked an actor who I could pretend to myself looked something like a young Gene might have done. They did a fantastic job with young!Martin Summers (and Amelia Pond, for heaven's sake, the second you saw that little girl you just knew she was young!Amy). He didn't even have to act, for God's sake, so surely they could have found someone who looked right.
