*offers a hug* I am so, so sorry hon. I certainly have been there - I think everyone with a computer has? Hopefully you'll be up and running soon. My sweetie once had a problem where she had to reboot Adobe Bridge when she updated her version of Photoshop, but that was painless compared to what you're going through.
