He was checked out all the boats and wondering why people weren't always trying to escape on them, and noticed a familiar looking symbol on one. Huh. That was weird. Wasn't that the thing Asher had..?
Then he heard the barking and splashing, and Stephen was about to turn right around and leave - like he wanted to be a witness to a drowning dog? - but the flash of jet black gave him pause.
He practically tip-toed closer, then let out a sigh when he realized it was Onyx. Not drowning, thank God. Not that he cared. Peering at the boat, he wondered what the hell was going on, and so decided to walk right on.

"Wanna be First Mate?" Asher asked with a faint, short lived smirk. It was his boat, so he got to be Captain. Now all he had to do was figure out how to drive it. How different could it possibly be from a car? Not that he ever officially learned how to drive one of those, either.

"You...have a boat?" Did Asher always have a boat and Stephen just didn't know? "Since when do you have a boat?"

"Random gift at the start of the year to soften the blow of all the fucked up shit this place is bound to cook up later on." He just hoped that the size of the gift didn't reflect just how fucked of things were going to get. The boat was a lot bigger than his horse.
