I would apologize for so shamelessly forcing my obsessions on you, only you write such a fabulous Sam that I simply can't do anything other than be totally delighted!

You already have my comments, but I want to reiterate how nicely you've captured Sam's special brand of circular thinking and self-fulfilling prophecies: you expect people to push you away, so you don't get close to them to begin with, so you're still alone and wishing for companionship but lacking the tools to find it and terrified of what might happen if you do? HI SAM you are messed up but we love you anyway.

He's way too hard on himself, so he winds up being utterly and totally self-defeating. And he wonders why Sookie went for Bill instead of him? Oh, honey.

Thank you so much. It means so much to me that you think my Sam's that good! ♥

Sam is an amazing, often quite understated character. He tends to fade into the background a bit and winds up playing second fiddle a lot as one side of a complicated love polygon around the main character, but he's so very my type. I'm so glad you liked it! *loves*

God bless who made those jeans; I would wear him like a scrunchie.

Don't know the fandom, but this reads like a flash-fic within a broader canon, designed to stand on its own. It succeeds. I can feel the hurt and loneliness and denial, etc. The character just breathes on the page, and the history is sketched in so beautifully well to let us understand this moment of understanding. Love the voice, the language, the flow, the moment. Excellent.

Thank you so, so much. That's exactly what I was hoping for, that it would stand within its canon but also alone. I really wanted to explore and weave in Sam's character and past with this, so I'm glad to have achieved my aim! Thank you for reading!
