i got excited about watching that movie alfie until i realized it was a stupid love story. how many times can they use the same theme in a movie??

i hate love stories.

except for amelie. that's the one and only exception.

is amelie a love story in the sense of boy meets girl (or girl meets boy etc)? that isn't what i took away from the film....
i think amelie is a love story in the sense that amelie loves the world.

As many times as it takes before Jude Law and all the other "hot male celebrities" fade away from superstardom.

Incidentally, have you ever seen "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not"? It has the actress from "Amelie" in it, and she plays a total psycho. I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it.

actually alfie was orgionally played by michael caine about 30 years ago so even though it's the oh so dreaded love story theme, it's also a recycled movie and i think it's awesome when they remake older movies... and hopefully it'll be redone well.
