Hey. Sorry for lack of review for 13.06 (and now for 13.07). In all honesty, I don't have a lot positive to say so I figure it's not great to write stuff (though, of course, I can't help myself so here's a little bit of stuff).

I thought this one was ok, I did actually chuckle at a couple of points, though probably for the wrong reasons. The fighting thing is bugging me too but I'm telling myself this is because these demons are just the dregs of hell and not very powerful (though it doesn't really explain why the angels are equally underpowered). I share your disinterest in the Castiel Lucifer show, and your fear that the trend is to give us less and less quality time with our Winchesters, but there have been some good episodes this season so far, so as usual, I'll ride out the naff ones.

Yeah. Riding out the naff ones. :) I promised myself I'll do that. But we haven't have has a good old MoTW ep yet! 7 episodes in and we haven't had a SnD focused ep yet (where Dean isn't moping and Sam isn't...well, I dunno. No idea what Sam is even doing this season..).

But there have been some good eps and I know there will be more. :))

I liked that they dug Dean out of the doldrums last week, but this week was kind of weird. But then again, it was another Duo episode which explains why it had to try and cram too much in again. Since they had Jack disappear it's like they aren't sure what Sam is there for, but hopefully different writers will give both our boys something useful to do. Like, you know - hunting things, saving people, the family business.

For me, this episode felt too busy, and they were cramming too much into this episode, and there was definitely not enough Winchesters!!! Do we need this many baddies? Why kill of Ketch if you're going to bring him back anyway (and in such a lame way!) Like you say if they want to bring back more characters to have more of an ensemble cast, at least bring back some hunters and characters that were more popular (Charlie, Eileen, Ellen, Bobby, Rufus - I could go on).

And yes, I hated they made Sam look stupid, and that having compassion and belief is always bad. This is why if Jack goes 100% darkside, I'll hate it.

I do like Michael, and it was great to see Kevin again, and I do like the idea that the number of Angels are depleting, and the direction was great. So it wasn't all bad.

Good question! I really thought, with Ketch's death, that was all we'd hear about the BMoL. I think (?) it was fandom's call for him to return maybe? I don't to be honest, but yeah. Looks like they'd rather return characters than great new ones. *shrugs*

Ugh! Don't even mention it! I will be devastated if they make Sam wrong in his beliefs (though happy that Dean eventually came on board re Jack).

I agree Michael was great and lovely to see Osric again. *g*. It was just....SO MUCH!

Rehearsals are definitely interesting (and time consuming).
