The TV networks are refusing to run this ad in Australia due to commercial interests. So I'm gonna post it about the place.

Yeah - it's pretty shocking isn't it? I think we only ever see a tiny amount of the damage we do to wildlife... ;(

And we won't. I saw this on Media Watch last night and was sadden by the reality of the way the world works. Channels 7,9 and 10 didn't answer MW's letter asking why they wouldn't air it. At least SBS was honest and said it wasn't in their commercial interest.

Yeah. I mean, it's shock tactics by Greenpeace, but sometimes shocking people is the only way to get the message across - unfortunately.

That's a powerful ad. I'm really glad someone made it, and thank you for signal boosting it here.

Isn't it?! I totally didn't expect what happens when I first watched it. I'm sure Australia isn't the only place effected by plastic waste (though maybe other countries as dealing with it better than we are - or at least trying to...)

Good old Greenpeace. But it flipping sucks that the stations won't run the ad!

Hee...I was chatting to my kids today about Greenpeace and realised they have been around for a long time. Thank goodness.

And it does suck. Each station has too much to lose from Coke's advertising spend to risk running it. Sadly.

Heh, they certainly have. I was a member was back in Uni days... Not a member any more but I donate occasionally and keep a vague track of what they are up to.
