I saw gifs of this show plastered all over my tumbls dashboard ALL THE TIME, and I said, NOPE. NOT DOIN' IT. NOT FOR ME. For two years I resisted. Then I caved and watched the premiere and ....... now I'm hopelessly addicted, sittin' here, waitin' for my next fix. And I'm shippin' Sterek because lord knows I need another OTP that has NO FUTURE TOGETHER.
Oh yeah, I remember not watching Teen Wolf as well, and resisting, and look what happened. Actually it's a smarter, more layered show than it gets credit for (like others I could think of) but it's also ridiculous. And lots of fun.
Yeah, that's what I'm seeing so far. It's feeling pretty harmless to me at the moment (unlike that other damn show...). I'm not getting the "smart" just yet, but that might come with more watching...;) though "layered" I can see more of.
There, there. It's okay to admit you liiiiike it. :D
The handling of post-traumatic stress in the season premiere was fascinating, the central players had a tentative, raw feeling--we could feel every bit of how what came before bruised and changed them.
Dude, I love that show. I don't even care that it is occasionally ridiculous - it's actually got so much more going for it than one might think. ♥ I literally camped in front of my laptop for hours yesterday, waiting for the new episode, cause I was too excited to do anything else. So much love. ♥
I can certainly see the potential for the LOVE! I'm not quite there yet. I'm getting slightly annoyed by too many things - but less so in that last episode. In fact - I cheered at one point and muttered "now that seriously cool" at another bit. That's good progress for me...;)

I think I'd ship Sterek just cause everyone else does... (though I see much more opportunity for Scott/Stiles).
