Season 7 is rocking my freakin' world at the moment. \o/

I know a teeny bit of 7.4 (just from pics) but other than that...no idea. I am both excited and terrified going into each new ep now in case the bubble of happiness bursts. I'd forgotten what it's like to actually feel good after watching an episode. The last one opened up some awesome ( Read more... )

I agree with you so hard. My disappointment in the Season 6 opener and the early episodes is slowly starting to fade away. I think that "film noir" attempt was a flop. This, what they're giving us this season, is what hooked many of us from day 1 and is what we watch for - emotions and drama with impact. Anyway, I'm very thrilled and very hopeful the bubble won't burst. For me, it certainly didn't from seasons 1 - 5, so yeah, they can do it again in season 7, and they are!

I'm pretty sure the bubble won't burst. I mean... wow, we've been through such a lot with the show I'm seriously hoping it can't get worse between the boys than it has already been. (and yeah...my "happiness" is grounded in how these two get on *g*). No doubt they'll have issues but hopefully they will be working together more than against each other.

Yes! This season is so good! And so far Show has provoked much of the thinky thoughts. How can Dean be so pretty and then do the things he's been doing?
Oh our boys are ever & always in angst territory.
Can't wait for tonight!

Hi Ash!!! I'm sorry I didn't get to comment last week after your post epi review, but as always I loved everything you said. It was painful to see Dean take the life of the Kitsune, but he had to do it. He has no grey areas. Now he has to hide it from Sam and that kinda pisses me off. I just want them to not LIE to each other EVER again, damn is that too much to ask?

I love this season so much. It's slapping us right in the face with the reality of what these two hardened souls are facing and how they'll deal with what's to come.

and don't look at the griping going on from both sides. Staying in the middle is the safest and most enjoyable place to be *moves over so you can join me in the middle*

Love ya, and can't wait till your post epi review tomorrow - promise I'll comment on it this week. :D

Hey honey! Hee... don't feel you ever have to comment hun. I read a lot of reactions and my brain is often not functioning enough to leave anything. :)

Indeed is was painful to watch Dean killing so coldly - but it made sense for his character I think. I am really curious to see if it will be addressed or if it will be another one of those things that is never addressed. It might be a good opportunity to clear the air about lying. But I think they often lie to protect each other. Argh.... Show never has the easy answers. :)

Yeah. No griping from me. I may say my heart is broken and OH BOYS! but I rarely complain. (though I have done occasionally. I mean... there are eps :koff: Swap Meat :koff: that deserves a few grumbles).

Only a few hours until watching time. \o/

I think the bigger question about that episode isn't about morals or what's right or wrong, but why Dean didn't kill Amy's son. Yes, they gave us the line in which he asks the boy if he's killed anyone yet, but how is that different from Amy saying she won't kill again? Dean knows this child is going to grow up into a monster. Now he's let him go to eventually kill when he gets older, and *then* Dean can hunt him down? It doesn't make sense in Dean's black and white world.

So Dean sees gray when it comes to child monsters? His unwavering sense of good guys killing bad things is forgotten (even when it comes to his own demon-blood drinking brother) because the monster isn't fully grown yet? Shit, Lucifer should have gotten a child meat suit and Lilith should have stayed a young girl and every big bad out there simply needs to inhabit the body of an adolescent and Dean will let them do whatever they want.

Ah yes. Hmmm.. no easy answer on that one. To leave a child an orphan like that, to leave him that angry and hurt, and to leave him alive ... that was incredibly difficult. I have no excuses for Dean only that the child hadn't killed anyone. Dean seems to draw the line at monsters who do and don't kill humans. (I think. I'd have to think back over all the eps). He let lenore live because she wasn't killing humans.

But yes. I think it does show a double standard. I'm thinking if the child actually killed humans then Dean wouldn't have had trouble killing him. I mean, to leave him alone probably means he's going to start killing sooner and he's going to have to kill him later anyway (after he's killed someone probably).

Messy. Which is my point I think. Show gives us no easy answers. It asks tough questions and gets us pulling our hair out trying to come us with answers.

I've probably said this to you in some form or another already. But it bares repeating..

So happy about S7.

Cannot wait to watch tonight's episode and I'm so glad I am feeling that way again.

This is the only season since S2 that I've sat and rewatched entire episodes. It just feels less... um... dark or something. Sure the themes are still dark but it's somehow different. I mean, I've thoroughly enjoyed the journey so far but it's nice to have the angst without that stomach gnawing pain.
