[ As the video starts, Hephaestion can be seen sitting on a couch with an expression of mild confusion on his face. After a moment, it becomes obvious that he's watching television - or rather, staring at it. ]

I understand that we come from different worlds, so asking this may be pointless, but according to a friend I'm missing around two thousand ( Read more... )

Two thousand years...!

Well, at least I don't feel so far behind the times now.

A fair number of people I've spoken to seem to be from about four hundred years after my time, give or take.

Im Sorry
I Cant Really Offer You The Best Advice On Where To Start
My Suggestion For What Its Worth Would Be To Start With More Recent Things So You Might Understand Whats Going On Now
Then Either Work Your Way Back Or Go Back To The Beginning

Good Luck

Well! I have been catching up by what I am most interested in first. I have found that a good enough place to start.

Hou, but those televisions! Those are quite useful for learning about this new era, I found!

I've been been meaning to read about politics, maybe art.

I've also been watching... [ A pause. ] movies? But I don't understand much.

Ahh, yes, I do not understand those things either. I've been watching something that Waver calls "documentaries," or something like that, about military history! There's quite a lot of it, after all, with all the strange developments that have happened since our time.

There is something fantastic about seeing a weapon made of metal flying through the sky, but I would still prefer books! They make more sense on a basic level, eh?

Some battles are worth seeing even if we do not fight in them ourselves.

[ Just wait until he finds out there are documentaries about Alexander's reign, though. He'll watch them all .]

Force of habit, I guess. If Aristotle had lectured us using moving pictures, it would be another matter.

In my case, even the beginning is too much. A good part of learning is knowing how to prioritize.

Technological advances. Geographical changes. Current country relations.

You better get started. It does you no good to complain here.

Two thousand years...? That's a really long time. Maybe you should just look up the really interesting parts!

So I was told. I'm not really interested in technology, though, and that seems like something I should invest time into.

Mami is an expert on technology! Just ask her any questions you have! Whether it's reaching the final boss or knowing all the shortcuts for the Turtle Tortoise Beach track, she knows all!
