[She knows what it is: some kind of magic. Which is kind of awesome, as far as she's concerned. She hasn't figured out that she even has a power yet, after all.]

I think so, yes. It's the first time it happened but it's also the first time I touch any plant here.

I'm in Hel House now. I did finally find out why. It took me a few days to find out she's considered goddess of the Dead here. I used to be a necromancer, though of the kind who put the Dead back to rest rather than one who brought them back to Life.

[Lirael's spent some time thinking on how to explain her magic, since she talked to Conan that first day, that's for sure.]

I’ve meet one of the gods of the death back in my world. He was quite nice and a hard worker, but hated playing chess. That's what a necromancer does? Be sure that the dead stay dead?

[Laurent never met a necromancer before, so he's surprised.]

Some of us. Some raise them to begin with, but that's not the kind I am.

[Now she's distracted. She wants to know what her power is! Apparently she missed out finding it out from the maid. Maybe Hel would know, if she could find her....]

You had a god of death? We don't even have gods in my world, so it took a little getting used to, to be honest.

On, not just one. We had like, 3 of them. I know it sounds strange, my world is really different from this one. What's yours called?

Oh, no. The raising is only calling and binding a spirit, not the spirit specific to whatever body you have waiting for it. And even if you did, being in Death changes a spirit. It wouldn't be itself anymore. Spirits often don't even remember what gender they were in Life. It would need to consume Life to remain in it, and have to do the bidding of the necromancer who bound it, too.

Death must have been very important in your world, if you had three gods for it. Mine... I'm not sure it has a name. We only call it the Kingdom. Across the Wall is Ancelstierre, though.

Isn't death always important? But we have gods for all sorts of things, actually. It was a bit ridiculous sometimes.
