Well, you already know how awesome I think this whole idea and story is. Sooo, I'm going to be more constructive and respond that, personally, I love the 1st person perspective. It really seems to fit the genre so well. I can just hear Conrad narrating it in that classic glib, hard-boiled detective style. *_* 1st person is not often done, and I know from experience that it's really hard to pull off. But I can say you've definitely done so here! ^____^ Can't wait for the next part and pool-boy! >D Double's brain is a place of much WIN.

Oh, interesting. Well-written, too. I'll look out for any further chapters. I'm glad Conrad was the narrator - for a few seconds I thought it might be Yuuri, and it was not a pretty picture.

Ah, just stumbled across this, and I am delighted to have done so! A well-written, plotty, intriguing, KKM AU fic! (you do realize how extremely rare that is to find, don't you?) Love all the little touches that remind us that even in this AU world, this IS KKM we're talking about. Yay! (the bullet in Conrad's left arm really made me sit up and take notice - what a cool concept, and way to involve that rarest of beasts, continuity! Oh joy!) What a promising start to a very unique story, and one I sincerely hope you will continue. Thanks! :-)
