Grace bit her lip a little. "I'm sure we won't be doing too much sight seeing. Not until Raine's feeling better. And Paris isn't as dangerous as L.A. We'll be able to take care of ourselves." She was glad the older woman was caring about their well-being though.
When she saw the car she nodded. "Jezebel has a little more style. No offense to your aunt." She buckled her seat belt. "Now I'm going to have to start wearing skirts and dresses aren't I?"
"Los Angeles is a lovely city, it's not as bad as it's made to sound." He shot her a look a moment before offering a slight wave to his aunt once more ushering Grace out the door quicker now.
"This is what she was brought up with, she's likely never been in a car like Jezebel." He admitted his attitude seeming already to be washing away. "Yeah, just for a few days. Just long enough for her to calm down." He spoke once she was buckled in pulling the car from the driveway he pushed a button to take the top down and the windows rolled down. it was just so he could pull a cigarette out and light it, driving with one hand. "God, I've become addicted again. its been almost two days and my nerves are shot." Since his last smoke.
Grace was about to explain when she was ushered outside.
"She's nice enough though. But I can see why you're the way you are around her, the whole house felt more like a museum than a home." She leaned back against the seat not minding that he was smoking, it had been stressful and if it had been closer to when she had quit she knew she would be trying to get something to calm the edge a little. "Ashe, think we can get some coffee? The caffeine might do me some good."
"And she is the easy going one." He muttered through his cigarette once they were outside of the gate he started to pick up speed. "God me too, We'll find a place, your in the city built of fashion in food my little one. We can find whatever we want." He spoke as he drove a little.
"The place is a museum though, It belonged to her husband's family. He was like 50 and she was 18 or 19 when they got married. She's changed the look of the place but you can still feel it's his home. She's only 5 years older then my older brother." He explained taking another long drag off the cigarette as the city came more into view.
"Well, then I will take you to moonstone this summer. Danny always loved it there. It's a bit of a ride but its more fun on the bike. We could go up stay a day or two then come back. Just you and I." He offered with a bit of a smile. "And try to look at the stars tonight, they are not the same as you will remember them if you have seen them in LA at all. As we are on the other side of the world."
"Yes it does." He grinned a bit more as he walked with her. _________
Ashe had not expected cloths shopping to take as long as it had taken, and he looked a little ashamed with how much he had spent on a certain pair of shoes and a watch. True by the wealthy's standard the set was cheap but Ashe knew he only wanted them because he missed his bike.
The clothes were put into the trunk of the car as he leaned there a moment pulling a cigarette from the pack looking to his daughter then "Lunch or just on back home to Raine and Selene?"
Ashe wasn't the only one that felt a little guilty, she felt he had spent way too much on her, even though he had been told to by Helena.
When he asked about lunch she thought a moment. "Let's go home for lunch. Though I want to eat outside in the garden. I think the others would like that too don't you?" She was toying with one of the necklaces they had bought for her, which was a small locket. Already deciding what she'd put in it. "Think Helena would take a picture of all four of us? So I can put it in here?"
At least they would have clothes for any formal events back in LA. Paris fashions have always been a rage. Moving to open the door for Grace to the Bentley Ashe sighed a little.
"Sounds good to me, but mark my words as soon as were in LA I will go to that burger place by Raines then go out for a few hours and just ride about." He had gotten so used to being a broke american he just felt odd being a rich frenchmen. May not be his money but his aunt would twack him if he didn't get things. "Maybe she would. Though maybe we could ask one of her servents instead, I fear my aunt having a camera may mean she will stalk me around with it."
She climbed into the seat and grinned. "Better let me come with you, and if we don't go to the burger place... maybe hit every hot dog stand on Hollywood?"
She giggled at that. "Oh come on that can't be that bad... Dine she gets to be in the picture too."
