I have been waiting to use that line for literally a year. Happy birthday to me!

My birthday conveniently falls around the middle of the year, which makes it a great time for reflection and reassessment of annual goals and personal changes since the last birthday. I have made been okay-to-great in finances, but as a direct consequence still do not ( Read more... )

Well, I finally signed up for the GREs, so maybe by this time next year I'll have a better idea what my grad school plans are. Other than that, not much major planned: it's all small stuff at the moment.

Happy birthday, albeit a day late.

I'll bet you rock the GREs. My mom took them her junior year of college while running a very high temperature from the flu. She says the correct answers stood out brighter somehow than the others, so she just picked those. She scored in the 90th percentile or better on everything, even subjects she hadn't studied, like chemistry (the tests were structured differently back then). So there's the secret to a high score!

So all I need to do is get sicker than a dog on the day of? Awesome.

However, given the changes to GRE structure, there may be limits to this strategy.
